My boyfriend and I discovered what may be my new favorite restaurant in LA! I always see great looking restaurants when driving down Sunset, but I almost never make the effort to get out there and try them out. So I decided to finally put in the effort and looked for a place in Silverlake to try out during Dine LA. Randomly, I picked Cliff's Edge. It had good reviews on Yelp and a decent looking menu. Well it turned out to be an amazing choice!
The restaurant has a fantastic outdoor dining area that is dug into the side of a hill. You are surrounded by a kind of dirt and plant wall, white lights, a lovely wooden deck, and a tree. Yes, there is a tree in the middle of the outdoor dining room! Remember how I was just talking about how I was in the mood for an outdoor party? Well the ambiance of Cliff's Edge satisfied that desire!
Also I should mention that the food was great! I had this fantastic endive and arugula salad. It was one of the best salads I've ever had. Then, I had trout with lemons and parsley. Amazing. Jeremy had a steak that he loved.
I wore a dress that my best friend gave me a few years back. I was really torn on whether I liked this dress. I thought the silhouette was very flattering but the front was a bit low cut and had a zipper that I thought might be too sexy. Then, my boyfriend suggested I wear it backwards, and voila! Demure front and low cut, sexy zipper back. I love it now!
I wore my pirate ship necklace from Sixhundred and Seychelles Hawk wedges (which randomly are very popular with bloggers) with the dress. The heels are a new favorite of mine. I bought them to hold me over until one day I find a pair of Marni Chrome wedges on ebay. I actually just bought a second pair since they were on sale at Gilt this week. I loved my first pair so much, I figured why not?

Thanks for the awesome write-up (I'm the office manager there. ;)
The dress is super-cute, too, and wearing it backwards is the kind of idea I never have and always end up getting rid of the dress. Good on you. :)
