I haven't done an outfit post in ages. I love them. But they are hard to do without a tripod or photographer boyfriend. I was particularly proud of this outfit, though, so I made the effort to balance my camera on top of some books in order to capture it. This is what I wore to the Current Affair vintage pop up shop on Saturday night.
The skirt is actually a dress. It is my graduation dress from college that I got at a beautiful boutique on Cary St. in Richmond, VA called Heidi Story. And this is probably the first time I've worn it since! (Hence the reason I am proud of this outfit.) It was one of the more expensive things I'd ever bought at the time. In fact, my credit card company called me right after I bought it to make sure no one had stolen my card. That's how out of character the purchase was. But I loved the dress and it was the last one they had and I would look one of a kind in it. So I splurged. . . . But then sure enough some other girl had the same dress at graduation. That's how it always is, right?

The sweater and belt are stolen from Jeremy. (Banana Republic and Old Navy respectively.) I love how his sweaters fit me, and I love using his belts because I can knot them. I'm obsessed with knotted belts. The shoes are Guess I think. I lusted after them for months back when I lived in DC. The moment they went on sale, I bought them using the justification: I am allowed to have them because I waited until they weren't full price!

I've been a big proponent of the belted sweater lately too!! Especially worn with fussier dresses in the day time. It's my new go to way to dress something down! You need to head out and get yourself a tripod so we can see some more outfit photos. No excuses, I think mine cost like $20!
